About Giclée Printing...

This state-of-the-art printing technology is recognized throughout

the art world and prominent museums as the finest archival

reproduction of art and photography today. Our images are

reproduced on Epson’s Professional Series printers which spray

millions of (water-based) ink droplets so microscopic they

cannot be seen by the naked eye. This extreme resolution

(1440 dpi) means smoother gradations and tonal quality

resulting in prints with brillant colors, stunning detail and

sharpness that have the velvety quality and feel of

an original watercolor.

The word Giclée (pronounced ‘zee-clay’) is derived from the

French word meaning to ‘spray or squirt’. Giclée prints are also

known as ‘Digital Fine Art Prints’ and are characterized by Epson’s

UltraChrome K3™ pure-pigment inks printed on 100% cotton,

acid-free paper. Together this combination creates finished prints

that resist long term ageing effects such as fading or yellowing,

and hence meet conservation standards of archival quality.

Treat your printed card as you

would original art and with

proper care and handling it should

last for generations. We recommend

framing with UV glass and acid-free,

archival matting, and of course as

with any original art, keep it safe

from contact with water, direct

sunlight and extreme

temperatures.
